At Idaho Ancient Grains (aka HiStakes-Spelt), we have been farming together since 2003. We are rooted in sustainable farming practices. We are a family-run Idaho farm. We do our best to grow and then sell quality, NON-GMO spelt - directly from the farm to you.

The variety of spelt that we grow is perfect for baking and has good protein levels. The Khorasan makes great pasta, pastries, pizza and bread dough.
Did you know that freshly ground whole grain flour contains more nutrients?! You may need a new grain mill to put the freshest nutrients into your baking after grinding your spelt or Khorasan into flour (or you can grind a variety of other grains, too)!

Feel better by eating Simple Gluten
Do you have major headaches or feel "blah" or bloated or gassy after eating a grain-based product? Did you know by eating ancient grains, you could get away from these uncomfortable effects?

We talk to so many people who can now eat these grains when they can't eat modern wheat.
If you are gluten-sensitive or have mild wheat allergies, you may be able to include Spelt or Khorasan based foods in your diet.

PRO-TIP: These results are intensified when you make ancient grains into SOURDOUGH!
Easy Digestion
Spelt & Khorasan are cousins and are gaining popularity fast as a health food because they contain a broad spectrum of nutrients. Because they are highly water soluble, they are easier for your body to digest than other modern grains.

Spelt and Khorasan have a simpler chromosome structure making then more water soluble, and much easier to eat and digest.

Making them in to sourdough will take this digestibility one step further and your gut health will improve!

We do sell our ancient grains year round, however, in the winter time we prefer to sell by making an appointment with you, so we don't miss you.
