From Our Farm to Your Table

The first time I baked with Khorasan and spelt, I didn’t expect much.
After all, I’d tried every “premium” flour out there — and they all claimed to be special.

But when I poured those golden khorasan grains into the mill, I noticed something different.
The aroma was alive.
Warm. Nutty. Rich — like honey and sunshine had been baked right into the kernel.

That first loaf stopped me in my tracks.
It rose beautifully, with a golden crust and a flavor sweet, buttery, and deep, it almost tasted nostalgic — as if my taste buds suddenly remembered what bread used to be.

Here’s what I learned:
These grains — ancient khorasan and spelt — never went through the modern shortcuts. No genetic tweaks, no aggressive hybridization.
Just the pure, old-world wheat that our ancestors thrived on.

At Food Dudes, we grow and mill these grains the way they were meant to be: slow, careful, respectful of the soil and the seed.
The result is flour with depth, character, and digestibility that modern wheat just can’t touch.

People tell us their bread rises better. Their stomachs feel lighter. And their families notice — “This bread tastes real.”

That’s because it is.

Testimonials

Tamina in Idaho

I love the Khorasan grain it is my favorite grain! I use it everyday. We make pancakes, muffins, all kinds of breads: sourdough, regular, banana, pumpkin, and cakes with the Khorasan. We grind into flour. We also really love to make cereal out of it. It has an amazing flavor, we grind it and boil it like cracked wheat cereal. We also grind it up a little finer and make a finer cereal. We absolutely love Khorasan and use it anytime we would use flour even to thicken gravies. We also get spelt for our extended family who can't do gluten. Thank you so much Food Dudes for providing such wonderful products!!! I have shared things that I've made from your Khroasan wheat with many many people and they always love it and want some more!

Feel better by eating Simple Gluten

Do you have major headaches or feel "blah" or bloated or gassy after eating a grain-based product? Did you know by eating ancient grains, you could get away from these uncomfortable effects?

We talk to so many people who can now eat these grains when they can't eat modern wheat.

If you are gluten-sensitive or have mild wheat allergies, you may be able to include Spelt or Khorasan based foods in your diet.

PRO-TIP: These results are intensified when you make ancient grains into SOURDOUGH!

Easy Digestion

Spelt & Khorasan are cousins and are gaining popularity fast as a health food because they contain a broad spectrum of nutrients.  Because they are highly water soluble, they are easier for your body to digest than other modern grains.

Spelt and Khorasan have a simpler chromosome structure making then more water soluble, and much easier to eat and digest.

Making them in to sourdough will take this digestibility one step further and your gut health will improve!
